Abortti 13 are a band initially active in early ’80s Finland who managed half of a split 7” before breaking up a year later. They’ve released much more than that since reforming in 2009 and their latest is a nice addition to a legacy filled with choice Finnish hardcore. Though they never set out to win a “fastest band in the world” award, they do deliver some potent thrashing, as well as some slower-tempo ditties that sound as immediate and feral as anything they did nearly forty years ago.
