For the past decade I’ve been looking back over my years in NYC and my years doing Slug & Lettuce, only to come to realize that I’ve been in Richmond for twenty years.

I wanted to put together a collection of twenty years worth of photos from my time in Richmond. Our awesome local DIY independent record shop Vinyl Conflict offered some space to do a photo show and we decided to focus on bands that are from Richmond or have played in Richmond between 1997 and 2002, the first five years of my time in Richmond.

I put together this collage for the show that includes Avail, Ann Beretta, Death Is Your Language, From Ashes Rise, Darkest Hour, Strike Anywhere, Stop It! and Municipal Waste.

The photo show has 115 photos that includes (among many others): Page 99, His Hero Is Gone, Neurosis, Final Conflict, Aus Rotten, The Varukers, 9 Shocks Terror, 400 Years, Tear It Up, Submission Hold, and Harum Scarum. The exhibit will be up for the month of March at Vinyl Conflict Records in Richmond, Virginia.

Hopefully, in the coming months we will do a part two covering the next five or so years, and then ultimately do a larger show with twenty years worth of photos.
